PJ Dubbs came the ballpark and meant business on Friday, driving in five on two hits to lead Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity past Chadron 10-2 on Friday. Dubbs drove in runs on a double in the third and a home run in the fourth.

Chadron fired up the offense in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Chadron.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Dubbs doubled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs and Natasha Hock's sac fly scored one run for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity scored five runs in the fourth inning. Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity's offense in the inning came from a home run by Dubbs and a double by Kynlee Marquez.

Marquez took the win for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity. She allowed one hit and two runs over five innings, striking out six.

Kaitlyn Jensen took the loss for Chadron. She went two and a third innings, allowing four runs on four hits and striking out four.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity tallied one home run on the day. Dubbs went deep in the fourth inning.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity collected nine hits on the day. Abby Cervera, Dubbs, and Marquez all managed multiple hits for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity. Marquez, Dubbs, and Cervera all had two hits to lead Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity.

Madisyn Hamar led Chadron with one hit in three at bats.
