4-Hit Day For Marquez As Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity Skirts Past Blue Hill

Kynlee Marquez gave Blue Hill fits, as she bagged four hits in Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity's 9-1 victory on Tuesday. Marquez doubled in the first, doubled in the second, and doubled in the fifth.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity notched four runs in the fourth inning. Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity put the pressure on, lead by doubles by Abby Cervera and PJ Dubbs and a groundout by Natasha Hock.

Marquez was credited with the victory for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity. She surrendered one run on one hit over five innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Kyra Meyer took the loss for Blue Hill. She lasted four and a third innings, allowing ten hits and nine runs while striking out one.

Kynlee Marquez drove in five on three hits to lead Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity past Chase County 13-2 on Tuesday. Marquez drove in runs on a home run in the second and a home run in the third.

Chase County opened up scoring in the first inning, when Ashlie Benge grounded out, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the first inning, Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity tied things up at two when an error scored one run for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity.

Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning. In the second Marquez homered on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs, PJ Dubbs doubled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, and Natasha Hock singled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Abby Cervera was the winning pitcher for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity. She lasted four innings, allowing two hits and two runs while striking out four and walking one.
