The Alma/Southern Valley high school Saints Cross Country team traveled to Lexington Tuesday, September 10th to compete in their 2nd official meet of the season. High School members include seniors - Micheal Edgar and Kyler Johnson, juniors - Andrew Russell, Colten Fisher, and Colton Dahlgren, and sophomores - Cody Wells and Kristaps Drunka. 99 total high school boy participants were competing at this meet.
Returning member Andrew Russell placed 28th with a time of 20:33:96. Senior Kyle Johnson came in next with a time of 22:40:34 placing 48th. Not too far behind, Kristaps Drunka placed 60th with a time of 23:30:59. Following right on his track, Colten Fischer rounds it in with a time of 24:02:79 overall placing 63rd. Micheal Edgar gives it his all and finishing up with a time of 25:13:86 placing 71st. Colton Dahlgren finished 75th with a time of 25:45:50. Cody Wells finishing it all up with a time of 27:02:79, placing 85th.
The Alma/Southern Valley junior high Saints also participated in this meet. Junior High members include Elana Smolik, Addison Pool, Griffin Stemper, Bladyn Herrick, and Anton Cook. The junior high girls had a total of 62 participants competing. Elana Smolik came in strong with a time of 17:25:03 placing 50th. Addison Pool giving it her all finished in 56th with a time of 18:32:73. A total of 91 junior high boys attended the meet to compete. Griffin Stemper leading the way for the junior high Saints with a time of 12:38 placing him 23rd. Bladyn Herrick staying right up with him placing 33rd with a final time of 13:03. Giving it his all, Anton Cook placed 66th with a time of 14:44.
The Saints had a very good meet in Lexington on Tuesday, the Saints have their next meet September 16th at the Alma Golf Course. Keep up the hard work Alma/Southern Valley Saints!
