On Thursday, October 3rd, the volleyball girls had a triangular against Southwest and Overton. In the first game of the night, the girls took on the Southwest Riders. It took 3 sets for the cardinals to prevail, with scores of 25-13, 23-25, and 25-15. Leading the Cardinals was Madison Schuller with 4 aces and 18 kills and Katy Prickett with 3 ace serves. Leading the offense was Carlee Stuhmer with 19 kills and Madison Wolfe with 3. This left the team with 44 kills total.
The girls then took on Overton in two sets, with the scores as 23-25 and 23-25. Maddie Ehrke started the game off strong with 3 ace serves. Jessica and Katy each made 2 ace serves, and Stuhmer and Schuller got a total of 15 digs. Schuller also had 13 kills, and Stuhmer made 11 kills.
The JV Cardinals also had a loss to Overton in the first set, scoring 19-25. The Cardinals won the other 2 sets with the scores of 25-18 and 15-6. The JV Cards also played Southwest, losing to the scores of 16-25 and 21-25.
