Cardinals Defeat the Southwest Roughriders

The Lady Cardinals had a long, tough night of playing in conferences at Bertrand, Monday night. The Cards starting strong taking the Southwest Roughriders 25-19 in the first set. The Roughriders were able to make a comeback in the second set with a final score of 25-21. The Lady Cards had a little uproar letting the Roughriders score on them 25-22 in the third set. Refusing to let down, the Lady Cards kicked it into gear and ending the fourth set with a score of 25-13. Finally, the Cardinals gave it all they had to defeat the Roughriders, the Lady Cards finished out the fifth set with a final score of 15-11. The lady Cardinals beat the Southwest Roughriders in five sets. Highlights for the first game of the RPAC conference include Carlee Stuhmer with a total of 30 kills. Madison Schuller wasn’t far behind with a total of 28 kills. Katy Prickett managed to serve 4 aces against the Roughriders. Madison Schuller also came in with a total of 29 setting assist. 

Cardinals Fall Short Against Bertrand Vikings

 

 After the Cardinals victors defeat against the Southwest Roughriders, The girls were ready to take on the Bertrand Vikings. Coming in close, the Cardinals were just short against the Vikings. The Lady Vikings to the first set with a final score of 25-18. The Lady Cards ready to kick it in, play hard and tough. Sadly, The Vikings fought harder and tougher. The Cardinals lost in the second set with a final score of 25-22. Refusing to give up, our girls gave every ounce of energy and power they had left. Determined, the Lady Vikings took the win in the third set with a score of 25-21, ending the game. Our girls fought hard, good job Lady Cardinals. The highlight for this game included Madison Schuller ending the night with 12 kills and 11 setting assists.
