Alma is a K-12 school district in South-Central Nebraska. We are on the Kansas-Nebraska border and sit right beside the beautiful Harlan County Reservoir. The K-12 attendance is about 350 students. We average about 25 students in a class. We are classified by NSAA as D-1 in Football, Wrestling, Golf , Volleyball, Girls Basketball and Track. We are class C in Cross Country, co-opt Softball with Southern Valley, Boys Basketball. We are a progressive district with laptops for every student K-12 and the 7-12 students get to take them home. Each classroom is equipped with a projector and smart board. All the teachers are given laptop computers to use 24/7. In addition, they have a desktop computer in all of the classrooms. We also have two carts of 30 ipads available for student use. We were a blue ribbon award winning school in 2011-2012. We also received the AQUEST Excellent Ranking by the Nebraska Department of Education for the 2017-2018 school year.

K-12 Physical Education Teacher and Coaching Positions Available

Alma Public School is accepting applications for a K-12 PE teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. This position is one of two K-12 PE teachers at the school, teaching a mixture of secondary and elementary classes. Additional endorsements would be a plus. Several coaching and/or sponsorships are available including head high school volleyball, assistant high school softball, assistant high school boys basketball, jr. high coaching, drama coach and cheerleader sponsor. Alma is a Class D1/C2 school district and is located in South Central Nebraska on the Northern Shores of Harlan County Lake. Alma Public School is a progressive and growing school district with an enrollment of 354 students and good facilities.
