Alma Public Schools is seeking bids from qualified cleaning service providers to maintain the cleanliness of our restrooms and locker rooms. The cleaning services will be conducted before or after school hours to minimize the disruption to our students and staff.

Scope of Work:  The selected vendor will be responsible for comprehensive cleaning and sanitization of all restrooms and locker rooms within the school buildings. This includes but is not limited to: 

• Cleaning and disinfecting toilet fixtures, sinks, mirrors, and countertops.

• Sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting floors.

• Emptying and sanitizing waste receptacles.

• Cleaning and disinfecting all surfaces, including partitions and door handles.

• Refilling soap dispensers, paper towel holders, and toilet paper dispensers as needed.

• Inspection and maintenance of cleaning equipment.

Position: Substitute School Cook at Alma Public School

If you are interested in the 9-month position with an official start date of August 2024, this provides an excellent chance to familiarize yourself with our kitchen and routines.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and cook balanced and appetizing meals for students and staff.

• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.

• Collaborate with school staff to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences.

• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a cook, preferably in an educational setting.

• Knowledge of nutrition and experience in planning balanced meals.

• Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.
