Seniors Honored and NHS Wins Food Drive

Friday, February 7th, was a packed night for Alma High School. Both basketball teams played against our rival - the Southern Valley Eagles. This night was very special as we recognized all seniors on both girls and boys basketball teams along with cheerleaders. Teammate members along with their mentors were also recognized. To top of the night, the food drive competition winner was announced.

Basketball senior girls include: Madison Schuller, daughter of Jodie and Cory Schuller. Bonnie Nelson, daughter of Angel Nelson and the late Scott Nelson. Shiann Spady, daughter of Melanie Spady and Todd Spady. Abigail Cervera, daughter of Cassie Cervera and Chris Cervera. Margaret Dubbs, daughter of Theresa and and James Dubbs.

Basketball senior boys include: Nathan Hock, son of Jennifer Hock and the late John Hock. Isaac McCurdy, son of Sarah and Arik Hammond and the late Christopher McCurdy. Burke Boehler, son of Cindy Boehler and J.J Boehler. Vince Ontangco, son of Regina and Severing Ontangco. 

Senior cheerleadings include: Madison Schuller, daughter of Jodie and Cory Schuller. Cailtyn Menze, daughter of Mary Lyne and Dave Menze. 

The food drive competition was against Southern Valley to see what school could bring in the most food/paper items to donate to our local Caring Cupboard. Alma won the competition by bringing in a total of 2,390 items receiving the Ms. Butterworth trophy for the 4th year in a row!
