The pitching was strong on both sides. Marquez struck out 16, while Chloe Daharsh sat down five.

Marquez took the win for Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity. She allowed zero hits and one run over seven innings, striking out 16.

Daharsh took the loss for Gothenburg. She lasted six innings, allowing eight hits and three runs while striking out five and walking zero.

Emma Joppa went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity in hits. Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Marquez led the way with two.

Ally Goad went 0-for-2 at the plate as she led the team with one run batted in. Gothenburg was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Goad made the most plays with five.
