Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 13-5 loss to Cozad on Thursday. Cozad scored on a home run by Sayer, an error, and a groundout by Rowley in the first inning. Southern Valley/Alma Saints Varsity lost despite out-hitting Cozad nine to six.
