The Alma boys basketball team played against the Holdrege Dusters on January 10, 2022. In the first quarter, the team scored a total of six points. Which included Jakin Neal making one two-point shot. Along with JT Clapp making two 2 point shots. Alma traveled in a close quarter 6-7 at the end of one.
In the second quarter, the boys made 8 points. Bladyn Herrick and Jakin Neal each made one two-point shot. As well as JT Clapp making two more two-point shots, and leading the team with a total of eight points. Holdrege outscored Alma this quarter 17-8, bringing the score at the half 24-14.
The third quarter had Mathew Mintzmyer putting himself on the scoreboard for the first time tonight with a two-pointer. As well as Dominick Schmidt made his first shot of this game with a three-pointer. JT Clapp also made another two-point shot. The defense held the Dusters to only 9 points this quarter. Making the score at the end of three quarter Alma 21 to Holdrege's 33.
Dominick Schmidt was on a roll with a total of six points in the final quarter. This included one three-point shot, a field goal, and 1 of 2 free throws. JT Clapp added a two-point shot bringing his total for the night to 12 points. The boys ended up with a loss with the final score being 51-29.
