Girls BaSKETBALL

The Lady Cards played a tough game against Cambridge during the semifinals of the RPAC East.  The girls had a strong first quarter putting up 12 points.  Scoring for the Cardinals were Addison Neal with a  2-pointer and Addison Siebels made three 2-pointers and the and 1 free throw.  Riley Scott rounded out the scoring with a 3-pointer leaving the quarter off at 12-7.  The Cardinals' defense was fierce holding the high-powered Cambridge offense to just 7 points.  

During the second quarter, Addison Neal made a 3-pointer and Riley Scott made a 2-pointer and a 3-pointer making 5 points and leaving the quarter off at 20-15.  Alma held the Trojans to 8 points as well in the second quarter.  

In the third quarter, Carlee Stuhmer scored an old-fashioned 3 pointer with a free throw and a 2-pointer, Addison Siebels made 2 2-pointers but missed the and-one free throw, and Riley Scott ended the scoring with a 2-pointer.  Cambridge was able to outscore the Cardinals by 1 point this quarter leaving the game close at 29-25.

Cambridge's defense was able to hold the Cardinals to one field goal in the fourth quarter.  This was made by Addison Siebels.  The Cardinals had to use their free-throw shooting and lead from earlier in the game to outlast the Trojans.  Carlee was 1 for 2 from the line, Addison Neal was 3-4 from the line. Abbi Fox was 1-2 from the line and Addison Siebels missed the front end of a 1 and 1.  The 5 free throws were able to keep the Cardinals in the lead as they won 31-30 over the Trojans to advance to the RPAC Finals.
