Alma traveled to Shelton on January 15th collecting a fifth-place finish as a team. The wrestlers put forth a great effort bringing home five individual medals. Carter Brandyberry only lost one match at 106lbs bringing home a second-place medal and collecting 12 team points. Another medalist at 132lbs, James Dubbs, took fourth place and got 18 team points. Alek Molzhan took another 2nd place medal for Alma at 170lbs further adding to the score with another 26 points for the team. The final non-champion was at 195lbs with Jeremy Felix who took 3rd place and gained 13 team points. The only champion of the day was Andrew Graf who pinned every kid he wrestled and collected a total of 26 team points. The rest of the team had a total of 16 team points. Overall Alma did great at this tournament and will continue the rest of their season next week.
