Dress Code and Conduct at Performances:
With a concert next week and concerts in December, we want to take this opportunity to remind everyone of the expectations for how to dress and how to conduct oneself during performances. We would like to first remind everyone that student attire during concerts should follow the dress code policy in the student handbook, so please help your child(ren) find concert attire that meets these requirements. The length of dresses is especially important because the audience is looking up to the performers and short dresses become extra short when viewed from the vantage point of the audience.
As the audience, you are an important part of the concerts. The audience’s responsibility at concerts is to honor the efforts of the performers by providing a listening atmosphere in which all can appreciate their performance. To that end, we ask your cooperation with the following items:
• Make sure all cell phones and electronic devices are silenced and your flash is turned off for both photos and videos.
• There should be no talking or other noises during the performance.
• Children should stay seated with their parents throughout the entire concert. If it is necessary to go to the restroom or get a drink, exit through the rear doors between performances.
• If small children become restless and disrupt others' ability to listen, take them from the gym until they are quiet.
• Do not hum or clap along with the performers, unless specifically invited to do so.
• Show your appreciation for the performance by clapping after each selection.
Our students and staff have all worked very hard to prepare exceptional evenings of music for everyone to enjoy. The students will be modeling exceptional audience behavior during the concerts, so we ask for your support of their efforts. Thank you, in advance, for your assistance in helping the concerts to be a wonderful experience for everyone!

Two Rivers Public Health Department will be administering flu shots to students at Alma Public Schools on Wednesday, November 19. Please complete one entire packet for EACH student you want to get their flu shot. The completed packet must be returned by November 14. Packets were sent home with all elementary students and there are packets in the office for any secondary student or parent to pick up.
On another note, we will not restrain students in order to administer the shot. If your child comes to get their shot and refuses they will be sent back to class unless you, as the parent, want to come to school to restrain your child. We are excited to provide this opportunity for our students!! #ProudToBeACardinal #ShareToBeAware
