Lydia Sikes was honored today by the Salvation Army as one of 19 students chosen for the DJ’s Hero Award. Nominated by Mrs. Biskup for her resilience and tenacity, she has overcome many obstacles to become an achiever with high aspirations. The ceremony was attended by over 1,000 people where Shilo Harris, a Purple Heart recipient and inspirational speaker, gave the keynote address. We are proud of this recognition for Lydia and excited to see what she can accomplish in her future. #ProudToBeACardinal

Alma will be offering summer academy once again. This program will enable your child to gain skills in many different academic areas and have fun while doing so!

This program will run for five weeks, Monday – Thursday, on the following dates: June 1-4, June 8-11, June 15-18, June 22-25, and June 29-July 2.

The Kindergarten – 2nd grade will attend from 8:50 AM – 10:20 AM and the 3rd – 6th grade will attend from 10:30 AM – 12 PM. Students will enter and exit through the Northwest door of the School building by the playground. Please drop off and pick up your child in the designated area.

Please indicate whether or not your child will attend by filling out one form for each child at https://forms.gle/pZ34jM2KNfTVe1TQ8 by Friday, May 1. A record previously set in 1951 of 22’5.75” by Hoppy McCue in long jump was broken today by Zavier Mitchell with a jump of 22’6"! He would have been proud of you, Zavier! #ProudToBeACardinal

It was a great day at the track meet! Both the boys and girls teams brought home second place! To top the day off Zavier Mitchell was voted as the Most Outstanding Male Athlete!! #ProudToBeACardinal
