On Saturday, Gage Rupp competed at the Nebraska Jr. High State Cross Country Championships. The race is 3000m (almost 2 miles) and there were 302 runners in the 7th/8th grade division. They only gave medals to the top 25 runner, and Gage medaled in 25th place!!! He was one of only two 7th graders in the top 25. Since the JH state meet started in 2012, this is the first time a JH runner from Alma has entered the State JH XC race and medaled. Congratulations!!
