Thank you to Alma and surrounding communities for the blood donations during the 2019-2020 school year. Thanks to these donations, Alma Public School has earned 10 scholarships to be awarded to the Class of 2020.

Alma Public School is proud to announce Ethan Baker, son of Jared and Michelle Baker, is the recipient of the Delia Brugh Memorial and Humpert Memorial Scholarships presented by the Phelps County Community Foundation. Ethan plans to attend Nebraska College of Technical Agriculture in Curtis, NE and study Diversified Agriculture. #ProudToBeACardinal

Abigail Cervera and Daylan Russell received honorable mention awards by the Omaha World Herald All Academic Program for 2020. We commend them for their outstanding academic record throughout high school and wish them luck in their future endeavors. Abigail plans to attend Red Rocks College in Lakewood, Colorado and is the daughter of Chris Cervera and Cassie Cervera. Daylan plans to attend Concordia University and is the son of Patrick and ReDonna Russell.

Alma Public School is pleased to announce that we have had three students awarded Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation scholarships. Each of these students has worked hard throughout high school and we are excited to see them receive such a generous award!

The Susan T. Buffett Foundation has offered scholarships to college students in Nebraska for over 50 years. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis to first-time freshmen entering college who are residents of Nebraska, graduates of a Nebraska high school (or GED) with plans to attend a Nebraska public college.

This Friday, May 1, during our drop-off/pick-up for homework we will be giving everyone their last week of work. The week of May 11-15 will be used to complete work that was not previously turned in. We will not be having a formal drop-off again until Friday, May 15, but you can use the red box outside the commons doors to turn items in. This box is emptied out each weekday. Stay safe and well!
