The 5th grade students voted in the first ever election for the Nebraska Kid Governor!! 5th grade students from around the state sent in videos and applications for why they should be governor, and seven students were chosen as the final candidates. The winner becomes governor for a year, while the remaining six become members of their Cabinet. The 5th graders are learning about the state government during this time, as well as what makes a good leader. #ProudToBeACardinal

🥶 Cold Weather Reminder! 🧣

It’s officially November, and those chilly mornings are here to stay! Please help your child come to school dressed appropriately for the weather. Students should arrive in warm clothing including pants, coats, hats, and gloves as they will still go outside daily for recess whenever possible.

Layering is a great idea so students can stay comfortable throughout the day as temperatures change. When there’s snow on the ground, snow pants and boots are encouraged too!
