You may have heard of our Cardinal Community time this year at APS, but what are we doing during that time?
The primary purpose of Cardinal Community is to work in small groups to implement our School Improvement Plan. The goal of our improvement plan is to improve reading for all students. Our Cardinal Communities use their time to help students set and achieve goals as well as reading and taking notes to increase our comprehension. Thursdays is one of our favorite days as it’s Buddy Read day in our Elementary Communities. Students enjoy the time working in their mixed classrooms with their Cardinal Community leaders.
We hope you enjoy some of the pictures of students reading during Cardinal Community- stay tuned for future updates!
