We are excited to start the 2023-2024 school year and welcome our new and returning students. This update is filled with valuable information for the new school year.
Families who are new to the Alma School District can enroll now! The earlier you enroll, the more time we have to plan the best education for your child. You can fill out a registration form online (https://forms.gle/G7mf5BnCr5n1mG928). We also have a paper version in the office. You will need to come to the office to fill out the other necessary forms. The office hours are listed in the graphic below.
Our returning families are encouraged to return their completed paperwork to the school office or mail them to the school prior to the first day. Secondary students who have all their paperwork turned in before school starts will get their devices on the first day.
Lunch program costs for the school year are also on the graphic below. APS strongly encourages all families to fill out the school meals application located in the packet sent home in the back-to-school packets.
We encourage you to download our app (Alma Public Schools) and follow us on social media (Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram). We post often, so make sure you turn on those notifications!
If you have any questions please contact us at 308-928-2131. See you soon! #ProudToBeACardinal

The Cardinal Spotlight belongs to Mrs. Alex Davis today! #ProudToBeACardinal

Our Washington, D.C. goers were able to get a really cool picture in front of the White House today, too! Thanks for sharing the fun with us! #ProudToBeACardinal

They made it safely! Day one was a success on their trip to Washington, D.C.! #ProudToBeACardinal

It is that time of year! Everyone should be receiving their packets in the mail in the next couple of days. There are a couple of items we want to update everyone on. First, there was a mixup in the packet and the wrong letter was put in by mistake. Please see the attached letter as it is correct. Thank you for understanding that mistakes happen.
Also, we are happy to offer you the chance to fill out the Alma Public Schools Registration Form online instead of filling out the paper copy that is in the packet at this link: https://forms.gle/D9qZekT63XCJ6sTw8. We are excited to work toward moving registration online for your convenience.
If you do not receive your packet in the mail this week, please contact the school next week at 308-928-2131 so we can make sure you get one. #ProudToBeACardinal #ShareToBeAware

Don’t miss out on this opportunity for your children!
Alma Public Schools will be hosting a Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska Immunization Clinic on Thursday, July 27, from 10 AM to 12 PM at the school. Please call the number for Harlan County, 308-325-3169, if possible, to let them know which immunization you need so as to make sure they have enough on hand that day. This is a great opportunity to update any immunizations your child may need to comply with state requirements for entrance into school and to add to any other optional immunizations to their records, HPV is available. All 7th graders will need a Tdap immunization for fall for those who only received a TD with their previous shots (must include Pertussis booster).
Surrounding areas and preschool children are also welcome to attend this clinic.#ProudToBeACardinal
